Fundamental Design Concepts of a Modular Pier System Using Ultra-High-Performance Concrete for Solving Construction Errors

Concrete structures in marine environments are prone to deterioration and damage due chloride ion penetration, freezing thawing, chemical erosion. Ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) mixed with steel fibers has been proposed as a solution enhance the durability mechanical properties of environments. Although several studies have conducted this regard, they yet focus on addressing errors that may be caused during construction offshore piers. Therefore, study proposes modular system control horizontal vertical using new connecting core type. UHPC fiber content 0.75% was considered optimum mix proportion because met tensile compressive strength requirements attack resistibility structures. The structural performance specimen constructed technology evaluated. results lateral load resistance experiments showed minimal deformation girder pier. Additionally, both precast cast-in-place types criterion resistance. This contributes advancement by considering material conditions.
